Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBOT) and Eczema

Understanding Eczema

Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can cause dry, irritated, and sensitive skin. Symptoms and severity vary between individuals and may fluctuate over time. Eczema is typically managed through medical advice, dermatological care, skincare routines, and lifestyle adjustments.

Alongside conventional care, some individuals explore non-medical wellbeing approaches as part of their broader self-care and wellness routines.

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy involves breathing high-concentration oxygen inside a pressurised chamber. Under increased atmospheric pressure, oxygen dissolves more efficiently into the bloodstream and body fluids, increasing overall oxygen availability throughout the body.

At OxyHealthCare®, HBOT is provided solely as a non-medical wellbeing service and is not offered as a medical, dermatological, or therapeutic treatment for eczema or skin conditions.

Why Some People Explore HBOT in the Context of Skin Health

Scientific interest exists around oxygen exposure, circulation, and tissue environments in a range of research settings. Some individuals choose to explore HBOT as part of their personal wellbeing routines, alongside existing skincare or medical guidance, because:

  • Oxygen plays a role in normal cellular metabolism
  • Pressurised oxygen increases systemic oxygen availability
  • Sessions are passive and non-invasive
  • HBOT can be explored without replacing dermatological care

Important:
HBOT at OxyHealthCare® does not diagnose, treat, cure, or manage eczema and does not replace dermatology care, prescribed medication, or professional skincare advice. Individual experiences vary.
